Who do you propose they hire? They've spent nearly 15 years searching for that NC caliber coach and NONE of their varied hires have gotten them there.

They hired Rich Rod away from WVU following a great tenure there. Including a final season where he was a game away (maybe just a injured hand away) from playing for a national championship. He was probably the "hottest" name in coaching at the time. Hell, Bama almost hired him until a guy named Saban said he wanted to come back to college football.

The Hoke hire was a bit of a different direction, but at least they were able to compete with OSU until Hoke's last season.

Then, they got their white whale in Harbaugh and paid a ton for it. At the time he was hired NO ONE thought this is how his tenure would go. Now, he hasn't been bad so to speak. Just unable to get past OSU which is absolutely necessary for Michigan to get where they want to go

It's not like they haven't tried. The reality is the school isn't as "invested" as Ohio St and Michigan isn't draw the national talent it once did. I'm not saying Les would be a home run...but I don't know any REALISTIC candidates out there that would

Trading a headache for an upset stomach.

Why not Sarah Fuller for Michigan head coach.
She is so dynamic. First female head coach of P5.
