Don’t really see the 777X being much of a match for the A350. It’s kinda in a class of its own.
Nah

I’ve flown Ryan on a few short trips. I liked the price. They are fine as long as you don’t have huge luggage and order drinks. I’m a simple man. No frills.

A350 Orders: 930
777X Orders: 326
Boeing missed the boat. There just isn’t a good market for the 400 seaters when you’ve got packed 300 seaters with the same economics. Instead of building a 787 competitor, Airbus one upped them and built a 777 replacement before Boeing did.
They are now jumping the market before Boeing can get the 797 out. Meanwhile they are pushing the A330 NEO as the Dreamliner competitor.

shite. Id be nervous af getting on one of those.
After the scrutiny they've been through, I'll bet it will be the worlds safest airliner.

The Max will be, from a systems engineering perspective, the most critically scrutinized plane ever. It will be very safe.

The MAX is factually the most unsafe airplane ever made in modern history. Literally the worst record ever.
Maybe things will work out - they probably will. But at some point ppl need to stop trying to pretend Carson Wentz is any good.

A little secret about Spirit - purchasing the "big front seat" is one of the best deals in the airline industry.
Yep! Only flew Spirit a few times, but each time was given option to upgrade to bigger seat and it was cheap as hell. I did it every time, well worth it.

What metric(s) are you using to make this ^^ assertion? Not trolling you, just curious?

These two planes are not typically competitors.Deoending on configurations, the 787 and a350 are comparable and slightly more 787s have been built. The A350-1000 is close but does not have the seat capacity of a 777x
You are also comparing one version of the 777 to the entire A350 line. Over 1,650 Boeing 777s have been built.
Yes Boeing has missed the boat but so had Airbus. They both have their segment leaders. They both have misjudged segment demand.

A330 old plane new engines isn’t on the same field with 787. Boeing’s made some huge mistakes no doubt. Not having a 757 replacement NMA will cost Boeing dearly.
But You failed to mention the colossal Airbus failure of the A380.
