Considering what Memphis has accomplished in football as a G5 and men's basketball as a mid-major, I doubt many SEC programs suddenly want to contend with a Memphis program that has an extra $20-30 million per year for its athletic budget just by joining their conference.

Vandy is a very strong member of the SEC. They suck at football, but they are a central Southeastern hub/market in an amazing city filled with other school SEC grads, have great baseball, historically strong basketball, good golf and other non-revenue sports, and keep the SEC GPA up.
