I played football in HS because I enjoyed the sport. I got hurt my senior year, and probably would have been better off not playing, but I don't regret it one bit. IMHO, some of these cats don't really enjoy playing, it's a career choice that most won't ever make a dime in. I understand that Chase and Stingley are sure things in the NFL, but many of the opt outs are not. They really don't care for the sport.

Yes the slave rules, play our game or u can’t achieve ur dream.Your really don’t have a choice to go a different route. Elite program that can possibly set up you and your family up for life by achieving the ultimate goal of being in the league. A undergrad degree is not a trade off on any level. As soon as that said athlete makes the decision to do what’s best for his family it’s a problem with y’all. Everytime it never fails.

I care only about LSU, and I'm not the least bit embarrassed about that or the "slave rules."

Nevermind. I didn't know I was arguing with a retarded person.

True or False Stingley generates millions for the school and he doesn’t see a .0010 of it in his pocket?
True or False The program is able to maintain its elite facilities and the required benefits Bc of players like Stingley over the years?
Let me know when you start buying tickets to see a walk on. Y’all see players a chattel. The problem is that you don’t think that players should make
more than the avg worker and it rubs u the wrong way Bc it’s football. Yet are you generating millions a year for your employer or business? Probably not.You could easily pay a player 60k a year with the benefits included and this shite would stop for the most part. LSU current COA is what 4K, man stop!!!!

The goal of the LSU Football program is to win games and championships. 100,000 fans don’t show up to games and boosters don’t give millions of dollars with the goal of “setting up a player’s family for life”. The fans and boosters show up to cheer for their team to win championships.

I bet you don’t Bc it doesn’t play a role in your life or community. How can you be empathetic of that. I get it.

Ur proving my point right there. Thank you. I knew you would come along. Gotta get the best to be the best and the best comes with a price right? You also read the wrong in your cherry pick. I was speaking from the players ultimate goal.

False. Players receive a monthly stipend. Brandon Taylor, a former player who was given a job opportunity because he is a former player, said on the radio that the players receive about 5X the monthly stipend that they used to receive just 10 years ago.

False. The facilities are maintained by the millions of dollars raised by boosters and many former players also give back (Tyran Mathieu for example). Jamar Chase didn’t give a dime to pay for that sleep pod that he had in his locker. Seems it didn’t care too much for it.

Well taken care of legally man gtfo! That’s a joke right? That COA is shite water compared to the amount that they generate for the school. I’ve had several kids attend LSU and it very few that are well taken care of as u say.
If the NCAA stops being stupid and allows players to profit from their likeness and from sponsorships now instead of dragging it out, this changes overnight. The top players will make enough for it to be worth staying and playing and guys down the line can also make money doing camps, appearances, etc. it gets them paid a lot more money on top of what they get from the school and keeps Title IX out of it.

The player has a choice, and the fans have a choice of how to react. Isn't freedom great?

And you go 3-7 when the best flunk multiple drug tests and decide to “opt out” instead of face suspension.
To be the best you have to have the best players on the field playing, not at Traction running around cones.

how much money do you honestly think they’ll make of their name image and likeness?
guys like Trevor Lawrence will make a shite ton.
very very few others will make anywhere remotely close to what an NFL contract will bring them.
plus they also make money on nil while in the league.
so the difference is still that multi-million dollar contract

bullshite do the math. LSU COA is 4K. That’s what they are paid for the stipend. Now imagine what B Taylor was paid.
The boosters are giving because we are winning on the backs of players like TM. I know u see that. It goes hand in hand.

At this point, college football would be a better product if the NFL created a minor league. That way, college football fans would be able to count on their favorite players staying 4 years and being there because they want to be.
Yes, the talent level would dip, but at least the culture of what college football used to be would return.

Thank you lordy! Someone gets it!!! Everybody wins and u don’t have the NCAA and the Feds in ur shite!!

So you really think this isn't going to become a trend if a players team isn't a championship contender?
No
Players have an easy excuse/out this year
They won't have the same excuse/out in the future
