white knight to the rescue
Read my posts in this thread, I'm not white knighting for her... like not even close.
It was a publicity stunt.
Also, that's a football on a tee, soccer ball is harder to kick in the air.

Vandy doesn't have one of these like most of the SEC.
Ah, when did they disband their mens soccer team? I know they used to be one of the few SEC schools that still had a D1 team. Regardless, they probably still have a club team with better options than the girls team.

No it isn’t if you even slightly use the correct technique

If he just went out to a football field without any training, he could maybe get it 20-25 yards in the air.
You think he couldn't get a soccer ball into the goal from just outside the box?
I kicked a soccer ball left footed from about 40 yards just the other day and hit the cross bar, and i'm a mid 30's fat arse that is right footed and had ankle surgery on my left ankle a year ago.
Quit acting like kicking a soccer ball is hard.

That's not off a tee

Soccer ball is harder to kick in the air.

a soccer ball is far, far easier to kick in the air than a football. Kicking a football involves a lot more technique.

Your soccer knowledge is an utter embarrassment mate

The technique is largely the same.
Football are always going to get more hangtime if you kick it right.

In terms of accuracy, yeah a football is much, much harder to kick.
In terms of hangtime, football will always go higher.

Looks to be almost exactly 47 yards in the air. of course, all this tells us is that she can kick a soccer ball almost 50 yards. I'll assume she simply wanted to brag about the assist, and not imply anything about kicking a football. Those that will are being silly.
It was a very solid free kick and assist, though the other keeper played it pretty poorly.

i hope they let her kick off vs UGA this weekend and there is a return ready of some sort, knowing it will be short and to that side of the field

I'm not buying this clear publicity stunt either, but why did you emphasize "nearly" here?
You know a soccer field is longer than a football field, right?
To be fair, he emphasized “nearly” because it wasn’t actually nearly the length of the field. That tweet was intentionally misleading.

Most average guys between ages 15 and 45 with even a hint of athletic ability can kick a soccer ball 40-45 yards
If they've played soccer before? Maybe
Just average guys from age 15-45? Helllll no
They'd be lucky to get it off the ground or kick it in a straight line, honestly.

Lol women’s soccer is such shite. Terrible defending is the only reason for that goal

I'll try to oblige your request next time I visit one of my nephews that has a soccer ball I can use
