Most average guys between ages 15 and 45 with even a hint of athletic ability can kick a soccer ball 40-45 yards. Its not impressive.

If you’ve ever been to the fan fest at the convention center when the Super Bowl is in town, they have a little game where you can try to kick an extra point (20 yard FG) off a tee. You’ll see a bunch of drunk baws kicking in tennis shoes and jeans kicking a football of a tee better than she did

Please video yourself attempting to kick a soccer ball 45 yards and post the youtube link on here for all of us to watch.

She just tweeted this a couple of hours ago and quoted another tweet of her kicking a soccer ball "nearly" the full length of a soccer field.

That's cool and all, but I bet every single player on the Vandy mens soccer team (and the Vandy punter) could do exactly what she did and better. Most adolescent boys soccer players could too. Kicking a soccer ball that far is not difficult for any competitive teenage soccer player. I played club soccer until I was about 15. Kids were kicking the ball that far at like 11 or 12 years old. There's a reason girls and boys don't play against one another. The move to make her the kicker was a publicity stunt, period. And unless she's willfully ignorant, she knows that too. For her to be named the SEC ST player of the week for duffing a kickoff 20 yards is one of the more laughable virtue signaling things I've seen in the sport. Like give me a fricking break. This is like the "everyone gets a trophy" generation on steroids.

It’s as if Vandy saw Mizzou having a decorated gay player some years back and said “hold my White Claw.”

What's your guess on how far he could kick one assuming he's an "average guy between ages 15 and 45 with a hint of athletic ability"?

If he just went out to a football field without any training, he could maybe get it 20-25 yards in the air.

I feel bad for her. Most people would likely defend themselves in this situation.

At the end of the day, Vandy's athletic director is a complete piece of shite.

Woman's logic on full display with her tweets. She'd do well to just not try to justify the PR stunt that was her "history making" kick.

Not sure about an average guy, but I'd say the average boys high school level soccer player could kick a 40-45 yard field goal in a practice situation. And the average high school level boys soccer player could kick a soccer ball farther than she did in the video posted in the OP. It's just unfathomable to me for Vandy to act like they had to go to the girls soccer team and not the mens soccer team (or their damn punter already on the team) to find a replacement kicker over her. It's a joke.

The real question is how jealous is Mo Isom right now?

This was supposed to be her moment and Les Miles told her to frick off.

Vandy doesn't have one of these like most of the SEC.

Title IX fricked that up.

That seems low. Hell, I'm outside the age range and you'd probably be generous saying I still have a "hint" of athletic ability (if I ever did), and I nailed one of those aforementioned XPs at last year's NCG "Fanfest" deal. I'm thinking I'm good for 10-20 yards more than that with a soccer ball with a decent running start.
