I also don't recall posters knighting JW as the next great Saint as you posted earlier.

I brought up the lack of accomplishments because his touchdown and yardage numbers keep getting brought back up....which is completely irrelevant if you don't actually win games. Hope that clears it up for you.
And I'll gladly circle back to him throwing 30 interceptions in a season. ?
I disagree that it is irrelevant. That's why I brought up someone else that has good stats but lacks team success yet isn't written off as a terrible quarterback. I think that the touchdowns are a part of the story just as the yards, interceptions, fumbles and team success are all part of the story. I think they all should be a part of the conversation.

Because he’s...you know.

I don't get it either. Probably the best third string QB in the history of the NFL

Yardage is irrelevant because you can throw 450 yards in a game and still lose because of throwing 3 picks.
You had a great yardage day but you still lost the game. And that’s the only thing that matters. A 5000 yard season doesn’t matter when you had a losing season with 30 interceptions.

The fact is that we need to address the QB position in the draft. There are some very interesting prospects out there this year. Perhaps we should look for a veteran replacement for the short term; I do not think that Hill is the answer.

TD numbers can also be skewed by your team playing from behind all the time. A lot of those TD passes are meaningless, and for the same reason late interceptions. Garbage time stats.

Absolutely. Look...I could look past the interception numbers if Winston had shown he was capable of carrying a team to victory....but he hasn’t.
Look at Eli the last several years. The front office ran that team into the ground and he had to force a ton of throws driving up his interception numbers. But there aren’t many other quarterbacks in history you would want more to lead the offense for the game winning drive.
