Star Wars Squadrons Anyone Play This?

Used to love the Rogue Squadron/Leader N64/Gamecube series and enjoy dog fighting pilot games in general
Anyone pick this up and give it a go? I read the reviews and most say it is at least respectable if not pretty good. Bestbuy is selling the game right now for $20 so I just went ahead and picked it up.
Just curious what anyone else here may have thought about it?

It’s worth the price. Very pretty game and flight mechanics are good. If you’re a Star Wars nerd, it’s absolutely worth it.

I plan on picking it up for Christmas. Angry Joe went absolutely wild for it. He hasn't steered me wrong yet

I’ve enjoyed it. Some of the ships you pilot have horrible sight lines though making me wonder who the hell designed these tin cans.

Squadrons is pretty solid and it looks like they will be producing some DLC after all. If you have Game Pass Battlefront 2 is on there and it has some online dogfighting modes.

Anyone play this in PSVR? I was looking for a new game to pick up for it and thinking about grabbing this. I'm not a huge star wars guy but it sounds like it'd be fun.

I've been enjoying it. I don't get to play often due to my busy schedule, but when I do this is the game I go to right now. Very fun with nice controls. Then again XWing v Tie Fighter was a massive addiction of mine back in college, so I am partial to this type of game.

I’m thinking about getting it, but I have absolutely no desire to play online and apparently the campaign mode is really short and not great. I’ll probably just buy the old Windows 95 Tie Fighter game on steam for $10 instead.
It’s such a disappointment. They keep pushing these mainly multiplayer battle royals type games. I wish they would stop that shite and just make KotOR 3 already.

There is a co-op type online game mode as well, so less person via person type stuff. It’s still the same online mode, but it’s you and other players vs ai

Is it online only or does it have single player?

It has a single player campaign. It isn't absurdly long, but it is a solid little campaign.
