Pretty much every bar in Dallas is now selling chips or fries and reclassified as a restaurant

Not sure what restrictions we have. Life is pretty normal other than masks which isn’t even actually enforced

Covid killed TH03 the day he stepped foot back into a bar at 50%

I live in Harris and rarely wear a mask.
I am in EBR for the week and haven’t worn a mask.

Not defending New Orleans/Louisiana but it is funny seeing the Texas people act like it’s so different over there
I listened to live music each of the last few weekends. Other than having to wear a mask while walking in, going to restaurants have been similar to pre-Covid. Have tickets to see Bill Burr in two weeks. I’ve been visiting customers and taking them to HH at least once a week. Going on a 4 day vacation a few hours away for Thanksgiving.
Can’t speak on NOLA, but if you can do that there, then yeah it’s the same.

Have been in East Texas for the past few days and did not see a single mask. I assume those guys just don’t give a frick.

its probably a lot more similar to new orleans than many realize
but a lot of bars are operating under the guise of "restaurant" by offering pizza slices or chips or something
masks in all stores in the major counties. libs everywhere blaming trump and such. same shite everywhere

note on capacity constraints:
i feel in austin at least that there are still a lot of people fearful of the kungflu and are staying out of bars, that the "bars" in close proximity have a much smaller and more regular clientele which i dont necessarily hate
as in they struggle to reach what would be considered 50% capacity except for maybe friday happy hour and nfl sunday

I live and work in Montgomery county. I rarely if ever wear a mask. Couple of stores are bitches. Some I just walk in with just to see what they will do.

We decided to let him stay to finish out the year (living with his sister because of Laura). The councilor called me last week to let me know they were recommending him to be tested for GT. Now, I’m trying to convince the ex-wife to move there next summer so he can stay in the school system.

We are in Austin right now and the mask nazis are everywhere. Had a nice Asian woman drop the F bomb on me, my wife and my 3 daughters because we didn’t have our masks on while walking outside by ourselves and no one near within 6 feet of us. I laughed at her and told her that I hoped she had a fantastic rest of her day.
ETA: we are here visiting UT. My oldest took it off the list in 10 minutes. Said she hated it here and didn’t feel welcome. Can’t wait to get home to LA. To hell with these goofy liberal idiots.

Bars and nightclubs are open in Houston.

All of them are wide open with no restrictions? Business as usual?

Bars are open but they have adapted to sell food, still need to wear a mask inside of a store but anywhere else outside of larger cities it is not being enforced at all.

Depends on where you go. Breweries and bars that cater to most people have mask mandates until you sit down but that’s about it. Some sell you peanuts or pretzels with your drink to qualify as a restaurant. The Washington Ave / Midtown bars that cater to 21 year olds seem to give no shits.

live in rural Hood County - you must wear a mask into nationwide chains (Lowe's, WalMart, etc), but not many other places.
I live in St Tammany Parish Louisiana and I never wear a mask at Walmart, Lowe’s, CVS, Walgreens, Rouses, etc and never get asked to wear one. No one cares if you just don’t wear one and go about your business.

Largely depends on the county. Travis and Harris County have more restrictions than others. For the most part all bars now operate as a restaurant. The bar I frequent in Waco, basically cooks enough food to classify as restaurant. Masks are "required" when not seated, but I haven't worn a mask into the bar in the last two weeks. Really comes down to the owners.

So just like what’s going on in Louisiana
The best thing about this whole thing is the bars that used to allow smoking that have transitioned into a “restaurant” don’t allow smoking anymore.
