Its a solid response. Its not about role to me, its about ability. Ball just hasn't ever gone off or thrived without the ball in his hands. I'm not saying it can't happen. But its a lot to ask of a guy in a contract year.

If we are just going with role players next to Ingram and Zion, why wouldn't Hart get that nod?

I think that’s the plan if Lonzo doesn’t work out, but I think they do want to see if Lonzo can play in the transition facilitator/half court shooter role first. That role is an ideal pairing with Zion.
