Yep, that sucks, Golden State back to form could’ve made the West interesting
Oh well, left leg, right leg, no leg
We hardly knew you Klay

Sucks. 0 competition for the lake show now

Damn, the achilles? That's terrible. I was really hoping to see the splash brothers w/o Durant back in action too
I guess we will never officially see prime Klay ever again. Because of his style of play, he can still return and be very useful as a 3-point specialist who does nothing but sit at the 3 point line all game. But the days of watching Klay guard the best opposing player is long gone.

So what is this a career ender or are Achilles not as significant anymore?

No one has ever come back 100% from one to my knowledge
I'm sick for this dude, absolutely brutal

Woj just said on SportsCenter that Thompson’s Achilles tear is a “full tear” of the right Achilles.
Posted on 11/19/20 at 12:44 pm to Ross
Nah, he'll play again. He just won't be as elite probably

Same. I was so looking forward to Lakers/Warriors this year and I’ve always liked Klay. He’s going to be nearly 32 and will not have played a meaningful basketball game in 2.5 years when he does return from this

Klay is good at the catch and shoot on offense and could still be a problem when he recovers. How much does this hurt his defense though and off the ball movement could be hampered. He is a good dude so it obviously sucks.

Maybe, but a jump shooter with a major knee injury on one leg, and a blown Achilles on the other leg...

Damn..read more on his injury. Sucks for him and GSW. Hell of a player.

Achilles used to end careers for anyone over 30, but that was a different era when most pros over 30 were on the downside of their career.
Treatment of the injury has improved, and athletes are now playing longer at a high level across all sports.
He can bounce back and be an asset, but he’ll never be the player he was in his prime.

his defense is going to take a hit because for his size , he has elite lateral agility that makes him a lockdown defender.
that being said, end of that dynasty
that being said, end of that dynasty
