Yes they are. I’m on my second Elite right now. I’ve owned and hunted with just about all the companies out there. My Ritual is my favorite bow to date, but I go shoot em all every year. They each have their strengths, but it all comes down to individual feel as most folks know.

For you specifically with your Z7, you would get a bow with no vibration, reduction of sound at the shot, faster arrow speed with less draw weight, better grip, more stability due to the riser design, and way less nock travel to tune out compared to your single cam bow. There is a reason the #1 selling bow brand completely eliminated single cam bows, even the damn slogan and logos have changed

Look, just let me stay convinced that I don't need to go spend a bunch on a new bow, dammit.

Not going to happen Speck. Stash that Z7 away for Speck Jr. Go shoot the new bows side by side with your Z7.

Someone is always on Facebook Mathews for sale page looking for single cams.

My bow is somewhere around a 1994 High Country.

it's been in the attic of my front garage for around 10yrs now.

It would probably explode if anyone tried to pull it back.

If it makes you feel any better a High Country had just as much tendency to explode when they were brand new.

I've seen 5 bows explode back in my years of shooting ASA, NFAA, IBO tourney's
1-Oneida (a must see in one's lifetime)
1-American (High Country clone)
and 3 High Country's

So I can fully appreciate your worst fears

Extra old man points if it has an overdraw and some Easton xx78 super light arrows cut to 24in

I don’t remember the arrow length maybe 28” but it definitely has an overdraw. I’m tall so I think the draw length is around 30-31”

Easton Arrow but would need to get them to know what they are. Pretty certain the are light for the bow.

It was extremely fast for the time it was made and pretty loud as well.
