Need New Drip Coffee Maker

I have a Black and Decker one now that is less than a year old. This morning the coffee that came out was luke warm. Used it yesterday and the coffee was hot as normal. Not sure if it died on me or not. Any recommendations on a new one? Looking for something with a stainless steel thermal carafe.

What’s wrong with the Ninja? Not sure of the downvotes

I am not sure, we use the hell of of it. Great maker for the price.

Another vote for Bonavita.

With the thermal carafe
I would only use this for multiple people drinking at a time.
If it's just you, just go with a good kettle and a French press or a chemex or a hario

Is there anything that the more expensive ones do (specifically regarding making coffee, not Bluetooth WiFi clock etc) that the cheapest one from wal mart doesn’t do?

They typically have more sprinkler heads to more evenly spread out the hot water and fully wet the coffee grounds

Best Drip Coffeemaker
Solid reviews for the bonavita, but i'd go with the oxo for convenience. Also hate the idea of having to screw the lid on the carafe after brewing.

I have a cuisinart with a thermal caraffe you can have for free.

I have the Hamilton Beach Brewstation which is a cheap version of that Cuisinart no caraffe dispenser style one. On my 3rd one probably. They are like $30 and I never get the scorched smell & taste.

I have the OXO and it’s fine, but I think I’d rather have a Bonavita. I got the OXO for the timer function that I now never use. It’s a bit tricky to clean too.

If it was good enough for your grandparents, it ought to be good enough for you. Heck, my dad used one up until the early 80s.

The next question is Garbage in Garbage out. If you're using stale pre-ground coffee you won't get amazing results no matter what you use.
If you're using really good coffee (specialty), definitely go with the Bonavita, Technivorm, or oxo depending on your specific needs.
