The NFL is more worried about missing games due to postponements and a potential shortened season from Covid-19 than actual player safety, I’m willing to bet.
On the other hand, it’s silly anyways, because it’s not like this virus is dangerous to world class athletes.
Any kind of punishment is stupid.

The issue is that it was players confined to their own locker room. It’s not like they were celebrating all over the stadium.

Yeah this makes sense. A bunch of people who are tested daily and test negative are unmasked on a football field and this is fine, players go into the locker room, and its all of a sudden a problem. There is being smart and safe, and then there is this crappy optics rule.

Did you really think Roger Goodell would miss an opportunity to stick it to Sean and the Saints? He will hand down the maximum penalty. Raiders had to give up a 6th rounder so I’m sure we will have to give up a 2nd.

So they don't have to wear a mask on the field of play, where they are on top of one another and literally swapping bodily floods, yet they have to wear a mask in the locker room.
