Uhh Saban loads and reloads young hotshot coordinators destined for greatness, who move on to bigger better jobs i.e. Smart, Kiffin, etc.
When Orgeron did we won the ship last year. Now Aranda and Brady have moved on. And we replaced them with shitty old dudes at the end of their ropes.

when Saban was hired did he say “hire me and I promise not to actually coach, i’ll let my assistants do that”?

Yes, That is why he doesnt have a lot of dropoff season to season. But he is the only one that is that involved in each side of the ball...

I mean, that was the concern a lot of us had when we hired O. That was my biggest concern, but I also never thought he would lead us to a national championship, so no complaints from me anymore.

Coach O can only put together the greatest season in college football history with good coordinators, you guys. He could never do it with bad hires.

That was the plan from the beginning, therefore it is especially important that the correct hires be made. Otherwise we will look like a three ring circus. It worked last year.

No coach works without good coordinators. No championship coach works without great coordinators. O’s problem is that he’s only hired 2 coordinators from outside the program and it looks like he’s 0-2. A lot of y’all think Brady was the real OC last year, so maybe 1-3.

You know Mav you are spot on. The great head coaches have great coordinators but they have a total handle on one side of the ball. Coach O is a great recruiter and good with game management but he cannot dominate an offensive or defensive strategy with his knowledge base. No bigee. Just hire great coordinators and stay out of their way. We need two coordinators (O and D) ASAP and we will be fine.
