So, I had TOPS and we never completed FAFSA. Parents didn’t want to. Didn’t stop me from getting TOPS.

It’s a pretty easy work around. Just have your child emancipated. If you are in a tax bracket where you cannot take tax advantages of your children it works out great. Full ride scholarships, a wink wink here at the Bursar’s office and everyone is happy. Do you even have a competent tax lawyer?

You kid should claim they are unsupported....
I disassociated freshman year. All paperwork became much simpler.
