Lake County authorities on Friday afternoon handed off Kyle Rittenhouse to police in Wisconsin, where he faces charges stemming from the fatal shooting of two men and the wounding of a third during August protests in Kenosha, officials said.

Shortly after a judge ruled the Antioch 17-year-old should be extradited, Lake County sheriff’s deputies drove him to the border and passed him to deputies from the Kenosha County sheriff’s department, said Sgt. Christopher Covelli, of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Correct, but the message being sent is that you'll sit in County for a year and go bankrupt from legal fees if you dare defy the left's mob.

How has he not been able to get out on bail with the high-powered representation volunteering on his case?

I'm wondering if they're allowing him to stay in for his own safety at this point? Does anyone have any insight?

It sucks he has to go through this and I believe he will walk free as his actions were in self defense.

However, think twice about putting yourself in that type of situation if you are a gun owner.

I'll be willing to bet that even if he is exonerated he would tell you after the fact going out there that night was a poor decision.

ETA: I assume bicep guy who was a felon in possession of a firearm is walking free?

Was thinking the same thing. Can he be pardoned if he isn’t convicted yet?

Because you lack standing (legally) to challenge the amount of bail set in Wisconsin (now $2 million) while you are still sitting in jail in Illinois fighting extradition.

I suspect that a request for downward revision of that bail amount will be coming first thing Monday morning. In fact, it would surprise me if the revised amount has not already been agreed between his lawyers and the Wisconsin prosecutors.

President Trump will pardon him in his second term and the new FBI Director Sidney Powell will give him a position within the FBI. Attorney General Michael Flynn will also prosecute his attackers.

He is not in custody.

He was not under any restriction against carrying. He WAS under such a restriction years ago, but it is long-expired.

President can’t do that; these are state charges. President can only pardon those convicted or charged federally.

Would he be able to return home to his state once bail is issued? Or does he have to stay in Wisconsin.

Exactly. Unfortunately, his life has been thrown off course in such a way that it will never be the same. Putting his freedom aside, he’s lost things he’ll never get back.
