You cannot be a good Catholic inline with the church's teaching and vote Democrat. Democratic Catholics is a contradiction.

I’m not Catholic but this isn’t a gotcha. By definition the two are mutually exclusive.
I guess there could be some democrats who are against abortion. I’ve never seen one, but hey, I’ve never seen a lot of things.

I’m not Catholic but am highly impressed that this priest is bold enough to teach his congregation how to vote on real moral issues. Believers in Christ understand that their citizenship is ultimately in heaven but we also need to be careful not to become irrelevant to the world by playing the “I’d rather not get political” game. We need more priests and pastors willing to cut through the feelings and stand up for what’s right.

Lindy Boggs, Democratic US Representative from La. who replaced her husband who presumably died in Alaska when his plane went down and never found was one. She Served in the House from 1973 - 1991 and was one of the most powerful women in the Senate but was ostracized because she would not support the pro-abortion movement. Bill Clinton later named her US Ambassador to the Vatican. She was an old school democrat and a very admirable woman.
Abortion is a religion to these people. They are devoid of morals.
