I hand delivered my info to the LSP months ago and nothing.

I’m assuming there is a large backlog slowing things down.

My buddy John got on a while back in the motorcycle division. His partner was cool as hell.

I applied about two months ago in person, and just received my card in the mail last week.

I thought Louisiana was a constitutional carry state. Not trying to be a smart arse, but why get a CHP if that is true? Speed up the purchase process?

You can open carry legally, you can’t conceal carry without a permit.

Completed online application and did fingerprinting at end of September. I know I've been assigned a GP # but haven't received it yet. I was told by CC instructor that if you don't do it online they take much longer.

Took about two weeks for me back in August. The key to getting it quick is to get fingerprinted at LSP headquarters.

Submitted everything online. Did fingerprints at LSP HQ and got card about a week or so later.

Edit to add:. This was about 5-6 weeks ago.

Up here in the Last Frontier of Idaho basically no gun control laws, other than use both hands and don't shoot sideways

if they tell you to get a permit to vote, are you going to do that. what about a permit to speak? Why are you people so willing to pay a tax to exercise a clear constitutional right?
