When I married my wife, I realized my FIL was a staunch blue dog union Democrat. As was my step dad

Neither of them speak of those days anymore. It's embarrassing

Me too. After watching the Democrats coddle the BLM filth and then allow them and the Antifa freaks to burn, loot, and wantonly destroy anything in their path at will this year should be enough to repulse anyone who is concerned about the destruction of this nation.

Yes Sir, he was. I was a young Marine then. He loved his Marines. 600 ship Navy bankrupted the USSR.

And it feels good, man.

Freedom feels great!
The democrats have slowly taken our freedoms. Trump is trying to restore our freedoms. If he could get rid of the Deep State, he could restore law and order and the measure of weights and balances in our legal system. For now the scales are heavily weighted against the average American and the Deep State commits crimes without consequence.

What's funny is you didn't even have to change in those 20 years. If you held on to your core beliefs, what was "left" 20 years ago is basically "far right wing" today.

The Democrats today would consider Mikhail Gorbachev to be right-wing.

The last 5 years I noticed a change in local leadership to a more socialist bent. I fought against it in county and state committees. But, within a couple years I was out numbered. The leadership coming up are nothing but AOC and Bernie clones. No reasonable voice can exist in that party any more. The night Trump was impeached I resigned all my seats and positions in the party.
Glenn Beck, while he was on Fox News, had one of his famous chalk boards outlining how far the left has moved and also how far left the right has moved.

Bottom line.....John F Kennedy would be considered a conservative by today’s standards.

Same here. I’ve been registered independent since 1998 and rarely voted GOP. Usually voted Dem. Now? Now I’m just looking for the R and pulling the lever. Bc the Dems are insane.

I wish liberals would listen to some of Bill Clinton’s speeches from the 90s. They’d admit he sounds a lot like Trump. Even on immigration.

And yet I have a RINO friend who is more concerned about Trump’s mean or juvenile tweets. He voting Biden just bc of how “unpresidential“ Trump is. Crazy to me.

Absolutely right. John F. Kennedy would never have status in the modern democrat party for his anti-communist views.

It would surprise many that John F. Kennedy begged for tax cuts during his administration.

Throw in the censorship and thought policing, and what the party has become is downright frightening.

I am a fierce independent who’s never voted a straight ticket in my life, until this election. The DNC has done the impossible, taken sensible moderates and pushed us too far.

You’re not kidding, son. 08 & 12 went Ron Paul.( registered independent so couldn’t vote in the primary) I didn’t even vote in 16 because how the DNC openly nixed Bernie as nominee for Hillary showing they don’t GAF. And Trump came across as pompous, arrogant, narcissistic tool.

He still does, but has done a commendable job. And the DNC has fricking lost their minds. I used to think it was all talk about the MSM slant and the biases but the shroud had been lifted from my eyes a few months ago.

Four years ago I would’ve never thought I’d be pulling that lever, but I voted for the most qualified candidate. Harris is not ready to become president. Everything else went red as well.
