I couldn’t care less if he was faking this. The results are extraordinary! He flipped this court to a conservative majority. That’s all that matters and was the big prize of the 2016 election. This is generational.

I likened this nomination to my wife a few minutes ago as such:
The Republicans just pushed RBG out of a moving vehicle, ran her over in the process, whipped into a Kinkos and printed a Notorious ACB name tag thereby stealing RBGs famous moniker, and then pulled into RBGs parking spot at the Supreme Court. Walked into to the court, punched John Robert's in the face, and walked into RBGs old office sat down and kicked up their heels on her old desk.
All this happened in a matter of 38 days. Pretty amazing turn around and defeat of plausibly the most famous liberal in America.

It’s a pretty damn solid 5-4 now, though. Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, Cavanaugh, and Barrett. It’s going to take an incredibly solid constitutional argument to pass muster there now.

Unlike the vast majority of justices, she was overtly partisan and had been for some time. And so, liberal Ruthie gets replaced by conservative Amy because liberal, partisan Ruthie wouldn't walk away when she could have gotten what she wanted.

Do not kid yourselves, if there are majorities, there will be at least 12 on the court if not more.
I despise rbg, not for who she is, but for who she allowed herself to become. A liberal hack as a jurist without regard for the actual law and its application.
The appointment and nomination of ACB was phenomenal and she will be highly regarded as a justice.
However, we just turned politics into an all out war (I know, those bastards did it first). Its about time we fought back. I would have been much harder and hired people that would have arrested a number of people without regard to a potential "second term". If all that was exposed with arrests, Trump would be sailing right now.

He’s definitely what you see is what you get but hey — I’m not looking for a boyfriend. I don’t need to love him. I need to know that’s he’s got a desire to do the right things for America.
