My license plate came up missing this morning. Maybe it’s on your car right now.

OP - my wife's car got stolen last night, any idea what this process is like?
OT - she's fricking around on you, you know

What I’m hoping for bc she is begging for a mini van which I was going to do next week. I hate minivans but she has to load 3 in car seats all day long and her friends convinced her it’s a game changer!

I don't have an answer to your question but I hope the brakes go out on car.

I would not disclose that to anyone. Gives them a reason to investigate fraud.

Most of the ones they pretty much know are fraud still get paid out because it’s not worth the hassle

My brother had a brand new truck stolen a couple years ago from the Bluebonnet/Jefferson area. It was recovered around Gardere a couple weeks later.
The inside was trashed but insurance made it right.

I had a coworker who had both family vehicles stolen at the same time. They woke up to an empty carport

Oh - in NOLA at Mardi Gras - 20 yrs ago
Might’ve been me
Was it a dodge?
Lol jk
It was probably towed for being on a parade route (or blocking my driveway )

How old is this car? Its really hard to steal a modern car unless you left the keys in it.

What is the insurance process like? How long before they write a check for the vehicle?
What if vehicle is recovered and trashed to shite
This isn't the first time this has happened to you.
Check your history.
But from my experience: insurance is going to give your finances and credit a very long, sometimes not gentle, exam.
Mine only ended because the police came across my truck being driven by another person two weeks later.
I drove an insurance paid rental for almost three months while my truck was missing and then being repaired. Claimed it was $200 from being totaled.
Truck never ran the same after that. there were cigarette burns all 9ver the interior, which the insurance company didn't pay to have redone.

youd be shocked at how easy this can happen and it not be your fault.

yes second car... i was 17 so my parents handled all that insurance shite.
I actually saw it pull out from the projects and turn on rampart (sp) then turn back into the projects. I ran to nearest police station and they LOL and said baby this is mardi gras, your fricked!
i got it back a month later. My speakers were missing. You couldnt see the floor board because of how many blunts they rolled in there. Found a few nugs. Couple condoms as well
drove it for a couple weeks and traded it in for something else... it was tainted for sure!!
