Emery has got to touch the ball ATLEAST 18-22 times this game or I will have officially lost all hope

Has anything happened so far to give you the impression that this will happen?

But, that doesn't mean that Emery is the one that gets the touches. He should have dominated touches vs Mizzou and didn't.

I would have said LSU needs to score more points than South Carolina

Uh yeah, us starting a true freshman QB that had a 50.8% completion rate in HS and no proper spring/fall camp even though he was an early enrollee, which would probably helped him tremendously.

He won't get it 18+ times. Hopefully he'll get a dozen or so.

Too many weapons, but we do need to establish some semblance of a running game.

And what have you seen in the rotation that suggests that Emery will be the one to get those touches? Again, this should have happened last game and didn't.

I was going to say the defense has to hold USC to under 21

Disagree bigly. Emery is not an inside runner. He needs the ball in space and getting to the outside. I think 12 touches for Emery, 15 Price. I still think Price is the best back on this team. jmho

I hope you are wrong.

I hope Finley is running our normal offense (in general).

If Finley is running our normal offense the box and the S will decide if it run or pass.

Period.

If he is not running our normal offense, and we decide we have to run the ball... well, welcome back to running into loaded boxes because Boom will bet that we're going to do just that and test the QB with blitzes and make him throw against two damn good corners.

Add to that IF we decide we MUST run come hell or high water then we will pull receivers from patterns to add blockers. Which will put more men in the box automatically AND give TJ less options, again, against 2 excellent corners.

Emery needs touches but I'm expecting Curry to get the most of playing time. Veteran RB for a first time QB.

Idk, price had 2 shots against Mizzou to punch it 2 yards and couldn’t do it. Emery was very good in short yardage against Vandy and seems way more explosive in space also. To my eye Emery is clearly the best back.

What I have seen in the rotation is now we dont have a QB that we can trust to throw the ball 40 times a game like we did with Myles. Until TJ can prove himself as a threat through the air we need to split those attempts in half and let Emery get hot. RB by committee is a trash concept

What exactly about Curry makes him a veteran back? the fact he played in a playoff games last year, or wears #18? Look at who has been our most game changing back this year and if you think its anyone other than emery, you're blind.
