Ex Navy Seal/Special Ops podcasts and YouTube Channels

Recently discovered that a ton of ex Navy Seals and Special Ops/CIA guys have some very high quality and entertaining podcasts and YouTube channels.
If you're tired of the Hollywood/mainstream media bushit, go visit these channels for good commute and/or downtime watching and listening.
The outlook on life, struggles after leaving, sheer badassery and stories that these guys tell is like listening to another breed of human altogether. Jocko Willink (probobaly the most famous of these guys) is not my cup of tea. These other guys are much more mellow and down to earth and real and not as intense.
These are a few of the best personalities and channels that I've found:
- Shawn Ryan (Vigilance Elite)
- Mike Ritland (Mike Drop podcast)
- Fieldcraft Survival (Ex Delta Force and Green Berets)
- TNQ Podcast (Marcus Luttrell and David Rutherford)
- Froglogic Podcast (David Rutherford)
- Black Rifle Coffee Company (ex Green Berets that started a coffee company and YT channel)
- Garand Thumb (gun reviews by an active duty Air Force Spec Ops guy).
- Drinkin Bros Podcast (a little more political than others)

You’d like Larry Vickers

Pat Mac is pretty good too especially if you want ideas for workouts, guns, basic dude stuff, etc

I follow the Jocko podcast and Fieldcraft Survival podcast, and find both entertaining in their own ways. Jocko is definitely intense, but in my experience, if you go back to 2015 and start listening to his podcast in order, you can definitely see he’s real, he just isn’t laid back—ever. Like it’s painful for him to turn off the intensity, but that’s just him. The Fieldcraft guys seem like some good dudes with more in common with regular people. If you listen enough, you can identify the subtle difference in mindsets between Seals and Green Berets. Both have some really entertaining and educational guests.

Add "Cleared Hot" with Andy Stumpf to your list

Cleared hot podcast is great also . Hosted by former SEAL Andy Stumpf. Hes got a good personality.

I literally watch all of these it’s what got me through the pandemic btw The only way to watch the presidential debate is with drinkin bros. As others have said I’d add cleared hot. Mike glover (former green beret/delta operator) and Andy stumph (host of cleated hot/former seal) have great chemistry. Also the American podcast that just started with Dakota Meyer and dan Holloway is awesome
And jocko is 100% legit

Add Warrior Poet Society to that list and definitely check it out if you are a family man. Check it out regardless if you take pause with the world today..

Andy Stumpf, Mike Glover and Mike Ritland are probably the best of the bunch.
The Spear is also pretty interesting.

While we are at it add Clint Smith of Thunder Ranch to the list. He is so no nonsense and contradicts many things the SpecOps guys say, yet they all have him as a guest on their channel and visa versa. He is so much more real about self defense for the non operator.

Goggins and Jocko are both just too intense for me. A guy like Shawn Ryan, who is intense as well at times with his straight talk stuff, seems to be much more relatable and his videos seem to inspire more.
I like what a previous poster said about the difference in mindset from a Green Beret vs a Seal.
It's intereating. I noticed that, too. SEALs seem to be much more cultish and jockular, while Green Berets seem to be muxh more the quiet assassins.
The jobs are also much different. GBs are all about infiltration and logistics and tradecraft and spy shite mixed with badassery, while SEALs seem to be more like frat boy super contract killers.

Both jobs seem very cool.
Pat Mac is the man.

Mike Glover seems to be about the most respected guy out of all of these guys and he also seems like the most humble, down to earth guy out there.
He's a total pro, doesn't seem to have that ultra jock cocaine frat boy sort of way, but still had a sense of humor. The guy was head of all US Spec Ops counterterrorism efforts on the African continent for Pete's sake, and all it seems like he loves doing now is prepping for the Apocalypse and driving around on his ranch.
He's the guy you want leading the fight when it all goes to hell.

Want to see him get humbled?
Then watch Jeff Monson beat him in a jiu jitsu competition

Of course they do.
Navy SEALS are some of the biggest attention whores in the military.
And the public treats them like they are some kind of war gods.
They are the SWAT team of the Special Forces. probably third ranked in the Special Forces pantheon at best.
But they get the most attention and praise.
I don't get it.

Aren’t you that piece of shite that works at an Applebee’s? Sounds like you have a lot of pent up jealousy.
