You peruse the threads and it truly seems it’s a group of somewhat bitter/angry folks chatter boxing about topics they all agree on. Much like self-validation.
I’ve read enough to conclude they really don’t appreciate/tolerate any sort of dialog that may be even remotely skewed from their perceptions of the world. It’s usually very quick to devolve into straight profanity-laced insults and attacks.
It’s not that I’m saying anyone is stupid. It’s that they are so fricking angry.

I’ve been spending time on there recently. Some people are angry. Some people have some good insight. I certainly don’t feel angry. I feel anxious but I think that’s Normal for everyone around a big election.

Don’t appreciate dialogue? There have been multiple liberals to post on the board for years and even one prominent one who switched sides this year.

It's strange. There are several leftist posters on the PoliBoard who have no problem getting into the ring without running to the OT to cry about it.
