UFC 254: Khabib vs. Gaethje Thread (Coverage Starts Saturday at 9:30 AM CST)

Yes, that time in the title is correct. To avoid a very early morning card in Europe, we'll have UFC fighting mixed in with our early college football this Saturday. Would have been nice to have Zabit Magomedsharipov and Islam Makhachev fighting to complete the Russian mafia but Yair Rodriguez and Rafael Dos Anjos have to complicate things
Main Card (1:00 PM):
Lightweight Title: Khabib Nurmagomedov (C) (Submission) vs. Justin Gaethje
Robert Whittaker (Decision) vs. Jared Cannonier
Alexander Volkov (Knockout) vs. Walt Harris
Jacob Malkoun vs. Phillip Hawes (Knockout)
Liliya Shakirova vs. Lauren Murphy (Submission)
Magomed Ankalaev (Knockout) vs. Ion Cutelaba
Prelims (11:00 AM):
Stefan Struve vs. Tai Tuivasa (Knockout)
Nathaniel Wood vs. Casey Kenney (Decision)
Alex Oliveira vs. Shavkat Rakhmonov (Submission)
Da-Un Jung vs. Sam Alvey Draw
Early Prelims (9:30 AM):
Liana Jojua vs. Miranda Maverick (Knockout)
Joel Alvarez (Submission) vs. Alexander Yakovlev

Pretty sure this has been scrapped.

Calvillo tested positive for COVID last week and now Murphy will fight Liliya Shakirova

Erased. Weird how the UFC website takes forever to update things. Hopefully they find a quick replacement to fight Makhachev.

Had no idea this was this weekend. Really dig the 1pm start too, hate having to watch at 11-1130 sometimes for the main.

Watched countdown on YouTube during my workout this morning. I was ready to run through a brick wall. Gets you pumped for this card

Are there high chances that the streams are going to crash Saturday? I haven't had a problem with buff or crack lately but imagine for this even it could be a problem.

Doubt that many people are even aware it's going on at 3, 4 pm

Keep your eyes peeled in here for stream sites .
There are a few of us good baws who post the site name or even links for a short time .
I’ve got a couple of go-to ones that are really reliable

I've been watching the Embedded episodes and other promo stuff ESPN is doing this week, and Holy shite Gaethje just gets it.
He's apparently been doing a lot of catch wrestling and other unconventional wrestling to prep for Khabib on the ground. His mindset is also unreal.
I don't know if Khabib has ever been in the ring with a dog like this before and a guy this hungry. Connor was scared when he entered the ring against Khabib... You could tell. He was not his usual brash energetic self.
I firmly believe that Gaethje doesn't fear this dude one bit. He respects him, but he's not scared at all to take a beating to get a win.
I know it's all fight propaganda, but the way he looked against Tony, if that same fighter enters the ring, Khabib could be in for the most challenging fight of his career.
