I’m told dogs (at least a single dog) are not the answer. Guy told me coyotes run in packs and one will tempt the dog to chase it while the others in the pack lay in wait. They attack as a group and will hamstring the dog and then kill him when he can’t use his back legs.

Coyotes are like a cat in that they’ll kill for sport, not just to eat. Kill every one you see, in any legal matter you can dream up.

Trapping or night vision scopes with an electronic predator call. Set the call machine upwind about 100-150 yards from where you are, with clear line of sight in between (like a power line, etc). The coyote will circle downwind of the sound trying to wind what it’s hearing. When it comes between you and the caller, bust his @$$.

Good luck.
