I was in Pensicola (Portifino Resort) 2 weeks ago and the women at the check-in desk said 70% of the people here were from Louisiana.

I just got back from there this morning. Nice place.

Better floor plan than most of the other tall condos.
Best thing is fast elevators, no waiting.

A warning to LSU fans in the Orange Beach area. There is a seafood restaurant right there on the beach road called Ethel's, it is decorated with LSU paraphernalia so when you walk in you think "these are Louisiana people, I bet they have good seafood here", WRONG. The seafood buffet is inedible and not cheap. Go to a grocery store and buy Mrs. Paul's fishsticks, they are a lot better.

Tailgated next to some AU fans in 2001.One of the older guys bet me a AU chair for my LSU chair.Tigers won , and he paid up after the game.So every AU game that chair is set out with the score across the back.We all sit in it and have a drink for good luck.

We stayed at Portofino last year. Really nice place. We will go back.

Leaving next Thursday for the Emerald Coast Poker Run in Destin. Will definitely be sporting my LSU gear. We have friends from Oklahoma and Ohio that will be there for the run. It's always good fun exchanging barbs with them. However, we don't play these guys every year so it's somewhat of a novelty and we are curious about each others schools. Problem with the SEC is you always have something fresh in your mind that the other team or coaches did to your team. Keeps the feelings a little raw towards each other. Most everyone is cordial and polite to each other, but you always have that precentage of azzhole fans.

Anyway, he refused to sit down. No big deal. Except that I had lowered the canopy legs a little and his head was nearly touching the top. I offered the seat again and he refused again. Then his wife spoke up. She quietly said he would never sit in an LSU chair.

You're too nice. I would have kicked his arse out into the rain if he refused to sit in an LSU chair. That's crazy.........

We have a place at the Caribe also, we go every other weekend and there are always tons of LSU fans there. This past Saturday the fight song was blaring every thirty minutes followed by alot of screaming. Last Summer we were purchasing some JetSkis and a place in Foley and the salesman told us that the area there is considered, "Little Baton Rouge."

If an auburn fan would have offered me a chair and a beer i wouldve been drinking standing up. I wouldn't have sat in an auburn chair but i would have atleast been polite and spoke.

Why not? Good oppurtunity to rub your arse on the Auburn Logo...

Just got back from Gulf Shores yesterday. Lots of LSU where we were (Ocean House). I did get a kick out of the Auburn and Alabama tents set up together by one family. Must make for a fun Thanksgiving for that crew.

Only heard one thing from an Arkansas fan with a "Go Hogs." I told him that if they can beat us and we still win the NC every year, I'll say Go Hogs too...lol.
