Verizon $65/mo with fees and taxes included 2gb data plan and own my iPhone 7.
Looking to switch service and buy a newer iPhone outright to lower bill but Verizon's coverage is hard to beat.

Unlimited plan from 25 + years ago $100 a month ,Verizon

Most service providers do like an auto upgrade thing now if you buy the phone through them and it just gets added Into the bill, which was why I said that, so that you’d know that that wasn’t a factor in my bill being what it was.

$152.
Unlimited with TMobile.
Three lines. All three phones are paid for/have credits. One does have insurance on it.

Cricket wireless. Unlimited talk, text, and data. 60 for mine. 30 for wifes. 30 for daughters, 10 for sons.
So 130 for 4 phones with unlimited talk, text, and 4G data.
Only issue is you are throttled if in a crowded area and have gone over 20 something gigs. Only place I noticed an issue was at Bama games, etc.

$35 plus tax, cheapest straight talk plan. Service is great. Only time I hit my monthly limit and face throttling is when I take a long (5hr+) car trip and run Spotify the entire time. Just bought a Google Pixel 4a for $350 after using a Nokia 6.2 ($250 I think) for two years.

for those that use Visible, have you noticed any reduction in speeds if Verizon’s network is congested?
for instance, can you still stream music? What about Netflix?
i noticed their hotspot is reduced to 5 Mbps —- is this fast enough to stream video to an iPad if on the road?
if Visible can handle my questions above without any degradation in service, i can’t see any reason why i would continue to pay what would be double with Verizon.

quote:A form of financing cell phones has been around for a couple decades. Back in the $200 "upgrade" days, you'd pay $200 every two years for what was probably a $500 phone. The cell companies just tacked on monthly payments as part of the cell service, but hardly anyone knew because they didn't want you to know. Monthly service was probably $30 higher than it needed to be to cover the rest of the price of the phone, but once it was paid off they just let you keep paying the higher rate because frick you.
Cellular phone payments? I don't mean to be mean, but I honestly didn't know one could finance a cellular phone.
