Yes. Even though scouts recruit based on potential talent, usually in the first round they draft for immediate help and it's usually "what have you done lately" and since Chase took the year off, I think Marshall passes him. Remember that Chase caught all those TD's from the best college QB ever. Marshall is learning Brennans strength as the year progresses and he is already on pace to catch more TD's than Chase did last year. Marshall is also longer than Chase and they love that in NFL receivers.

Marshall can pass Chase but he’s not gonna do it scoring on Missouri.
Chase has a highlight real going up against top CBs and winning. Marshall has to show he can do that or he’s going to go where Jefferson went (and I think Jefferson was underdrafted)

I also watched Chase be the better receiver in most of those games. This conversation is whether he has passed Chase and he has not.

Do you really think that game vs Missouri is going to mean more to NFL scouts than what Chase did be Clemson?
There is no feelings involved. Chase was objectively the best WR in college football last year. Marshall didn’t show enough to be #2 and NFL scouts are gonna want to see him play top end DBs.

Chase had insane stats and played guys who were first round picks.
It’s a lot easier to imagine a guy succeeding in the NFL when you can see him beat guys who are now starting in the NFL.
Chase is physical at the line of scrimmage, he runs good routes and gets separation. He high points the ball and wins contested catches as well as any WR I’ve ever seen. And he’s beaten guys who were drafted and now play in the NFL.
Also Corey Davis sucks and Randy Moss went in the late 1st. One of the best WRs all time wasn’t a top 15 pick. Wonder why.
