Didn’t the players say this was an easier Defense?

Before the season started, didn’t the players say this was a better, easier scheme defense? Why the hell do they look so lost? I mean could it be that Dave’s defense was a lot more difficult, but yet was way way better than the product on the field?

that said lots of things that are obviously not true

If you just don’t cover anyone it’s pretty easy

Think they meant easier for opposing team

It's easier because they aren't required to provide effort and have no accountability, apparently.
frick Bo.
frick Bo.

That’s what I’m kinda getting at, are they quitting on Bo or do they not know what to do?

I'm betting the players don't like him as a person. He isn't likeable at all. I think that has plagues his career. How do you respect and play for a guy you can't even like?

Well, it's their loss. They're the ones that look like pansies and are embarrassing themselves out there; not Pelini.
Sometimes you have to work for a boss that you don't like. That's life. Deal with it.

They probably interviewed defensive lineman.

Yeah but these are young'ns.
A team is a direct reflection of its leadership. Pelini is a mess, and so are his teams.

I don't think they are quitting.
Its just a combination of a new DC that is obviously not coaching/communicating well enough mixed with a lot of inexperience and lack of talent.

Well allowing league leading stats is pretty easy. Technically they were right.

The issue is, that when things aren't going well his ability to communicate "drops off" (to be polite). To not be polite, if his really bad temper is triggered players won't receive coaching, they will receive arse chewings.
One of Aranda's biggest attributes was his ability to communicate. Yeah he gets mad, and you know it. He didn't hide it. But his "professor like communication" didn't change. It was even, no matter what was going on. Once you got used to it, and it is not easy for defensive players to get used to it, you got that consistently and communication/teaching/coaching was excellent.
Now they get somewhat of a Jekyl and Hyde. Bo knows what he wants. His ability to communicate it is not even and consistent. And it is showing.

You can get away with this if you're a badass coach, which he clearly is not.

Bo's former players at LSU were some of the most excited about his hire.
They definitely had respect for him and liked playing for him.
Now Bo's interaction with the administration at Nebraska? That's a different matter entirely . . .

I’m sure it is easier. Which is why it’s fricking easy to scheme against.
