They’re still dumb, but I think calling them dumb let’s them off the hook a little bit. Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo are dumber than shite, but their master Jeff Zucker is not. He’s a power hungry monster that the world would be better off without. It’s about power and they’re doing it “in the name” of democracy. My point is they don’t want democracy either, but they’re using that as their mask to hide what they’re actually after: power to control you. Jeff Zucker would force you what to eat if he had the power to do so.

I listened to them some last night and those motherfrickers are the dumbest people on TV.

That's such a devastating video clip. A presidential candidate is openly telling voters they will know his opinion on an important issue only after the election is over. Trump needs to make it a centerpiece of his ads.

“It’s a legitimate question. But let me tell you why I’m not going to answer that question: because it will shift all the focus. That’s what he wants,” Biden told Action 2 News. “He never wants to talk about the issue at hand. He always tries to change the subject.”
Amazing. He's actually deflecting a question and trying to change the subject and accusing Trump of deflecting questions and trying to change the subject all in the same sentence.

I just can’t even believe how open they are being.
Their base is rabid.
Also shows me they are scared to lose support by denying their intent.

“If I answer that, then the headlines in all of your papers will be about that.”
Yeah, no shite. It’s what should be the headline. Our country can’t survive starting court packing, especially if Kamala Harris gets the ball rolling.

Yep. His response at the debate when questioned about the filibuster was just as bad:
quote:
Lorraine Rivera of Arizona Public Media asked Kelly if he would invoke the filibuster to delay the nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.
“If you are in the Senate, would you support a filibuster to delay the nomination?” she asked.
(The premise of the question was somewhat inaccurate: the filibuster no longer exists for Supreme Court nominees.)
Kelly argued, incorrectly, that Republicans had “abolished the filibuster” to pass a tax cut and to repeal Obamacare. (They used reconciliation, which only requires 50 votes — the same way Obamacare was passed in 2010.)
He finally arrived at his answer on the filibuster: “I will give it thoughtful consideration, and I’m going to do what’s in the best interest of Arizona and our country, not what it’s the best interest of one political party or the other.”
Rivera asked the question again: “Mr. Kelly, you’ve been a candidate for more than a year. Many people think that you should already have an answer to that question.”
“We don’t know if this is even going to come up for — even a discussion,” he protested. “It might — and if it does, I will give it thoughtful consideration.”
Democrats have already begun calling openly for the filibuster to be eliminated. Former President Barack Obama did so at the funeral for Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) in July, for example.
Moderator Yvonne Wingett Sanchez of the Arizona Republic later retuned to the question. “Mr. Kelly, who do you need to hear from to form an opinion on the filibuster question?”
“I’ll need to hear from Arizonans,” Kelly said, adding: “When I make that decision, I will let Arizonans know.” He claimed again that the topic had not come up for discussion, and that Arizonans did not care about “a rule in the United States Senate.”

“You’ll know my opinion on court packing when the election is over.”
"You have to elect me to find out what my policies will be".
Why do democrats have difficulty telling us who they are and what they want to do?

I lol’d at pence last night when he finally said “if you haven’t figured it out by now the answer is yes”

So you agree Congress would have to agree and pass a bill.

Did the Republicans put Garland to a vote after the election? I must have missed it.
Posted on 10/8/20 at 10:00 pm to TigerFanNSTC
They didn’t have to. Republicans controlled the senate and he would not have been confirmed.
Ffs, this isn’t complicated. Our system worked exactly as it was designed to whether you like it or not.

He didn’t have the votes. President nominates, senate advises and consents. They didn’t consent.
I do think they should have had hearings and had a straight up and down vote. He wouldn’t have gotten in. I don’t care for Mitch’s actions there but they were perfectly normal over the course of history.

It's a stupid question (an "ooh, I got you" type) because the answer doesn't really matter
Isn't that true of almost every single issue? The President doesn't rule by decree so who cares what their stance is on any issue since nothing they say matters. I've seen a lot of bad takes on this board but this has to be one of the worst.
