Delivery got pushed because of the storm. Receive today. Pulled the cover. Replaced the original single card and replaced with the 2x16.
Computer won’t boot. No issues with one card but with both it seems to turn on and off, I guess trying to boot?
MB is ASRock B360M IB-R. Doesn’t seem to be a compatibility issue I’m just slightly confused as to why it’s not booting with both sticks.
Eta: tried both sticks individually and one boots the other doesn’t. Makes me think one stick is no good, which sucks because it was a bundle.
Eta2: I’m aware of clock speeds, which is why you don’t mix RAM, rather replace with all new, like kind modules.

Yep sounds like you've got a bad stick.

You need to clear CMOS. Pretty common when replacing ram, at least every time I have changed to new ram. Look in motherboard manual to find out how to do it. Some motherboards have a button and some you need to touch a certain part with a screw driver/wire at same time.
