Which do you feel is the better film?

Damn that's a toss up. Stone was at the top of her game in TR but Predator was a helluva movie.

Realistically predator is probably the better film, but I enjoy total recall much more.

Total Recall is in my top 3 Arnold films, so I gotta go there

Total Recall is actually an extremely deep, profound movie dressed up like a campy, dumb action flick.
It's actually one of the better "how do you define reality?" mind benders in film history.

Predator is the better movie, Total Recall is more fun

Total Recall. Campy but great. I still remember when their eyes almost bugged out. Great!

Predator and it's not close.
Predator is maybe the tightest action film ever made. Its also Arnold's best role outside of Conan and Terminator. Total Recall is fine, but McTierinan's direction is far better than Verhoeven, and the Dutchman was absolutely no slouch.
There's not a scene in Total Recall that can hold a candle to this one:

Predator by a mile. It's much more re-watchable for me. And the cast is perfect.
The Expendable movies kind of tried to replicate it with their casts, but it's still the manliest, most testosterone filled movie ever.
It makes me want to hit somebody in the chin with a wicked forearm shiver.

Easily easily easily Predator.

Rewatched Total Recall awhile back.
It's fun and campy and weird but it's also sort of a mess in places.
I agree with Jack that Predator is tight and intense and rarely has a false note.
I guess if I'm sitting at home, Total Recall is a good choice...but if I'm on a plane and want total distraction it's Predator.

Didn't Arnold kill Sharon Stone? That was a great scene. Predator was good though.

The one that spawned a dozen follow up movies. Predator easily, I agree.

As a kid it was always Predator. As an adult it's Total Recall. Not only is Total Recall an a great action / Sci-Fi Arnold flick, but it also stays true to the philosophy of the Philip K. Dick source material. Also Verhoeven is very subtly satirizing the 80s action genre in the film.
