People were open all over the place. We just have a timid qb

That is not accurate. The difference is Burrow's ability to read a defense pre snap and throw people open. The plays were there. BRENNAN in his first start wasn't able to do that the same. He should get better at it. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

I'm not calling for a change, but Callaway and Tettleton are both thought to be great offensive minds. I hope we can hang on to them and move them up in the staff. We need to try to keep the younger, innovative guys.

Still trying to figure out what Linehan brings to the table?

He’s an analyst. What control over the offense do you think he has?

Maybe show E some new concepts

Burrow brought Munoz to the Heisman ceremony because he was such a big part of his development. Then Aranda pulled him to Baylor. I'm hoping either Callaway or Tettleton can be that guy for Brennan.
Callaway can't coach on the field, but he'll break down film and can offer specific plays that will be successful against specific teams.

They do a lot more than you’re insinuating. See Munoz.

it actually reminded me of what a team runs when their oline blows blocking assignments and their qb is struggling to get on track.
so thats exactly what it was.
so thats exactly what it was.

Lets face it, Burrow spoiled us and Brennan has the unenviable task of following The Goat...

I don't think you guys realize how simple the scheme was last year. It was all down to just abusing mismatches and absurd timing and chemistry. LSU ran a lot of the same stuff Saturday.

Kirby Smart said it after the SECCG. “They weren’t running anything we haven’t seen before, they just executed it at a high level.” (Paraphrased)

Oh God damn, you are so full of shite.
Go watch every offensive snap again and watch in slow mo/pause the video and look at all the wide open WRs all over the place.
The problem was not the scheme, its the same damn scheme as last year and anyone that knows anything about football or has watched the game looking at the WRs, knows the scheme was the same.
Problem was, MB doesn't trust what he sees and holds the ball way too long and doesn't hit the check down who was open on almost every damn play.

LSU would go entire drives in the same personnel. Because they simply had better players, they did the same things over and over and it couldn't be stopped. Which is what a good LSU offense should look like.

Callaway ran a highly prolific pass-oriented spread at Samford. They ranked in the top five in passing in the FCS in two of his last three seasons and were #1 in 2018, averaging 392.7 yards passing per game. He coached QB Devlin Hodges, who was named the FCS offensive player of the year and is on the Steelers practice squad.

Linehan supposedly calls plays in the red zone and our red zone offense saturday ..woof..worst I've seen,no Creativity.
We need to some diversity in the run game . I tried to tell people this last year but it didn't matter last year. Coach o confirmed it on his show this week .
He said we had ONE run play it's the inside zone. We need to hurry up to the line and throw it sometimes or a sweep or something cuz every time we go super fast tempo it's that inside zone, or if you count it as a different play ,its the zone read with inside zone when he hands it off.. basically we run the inside zone blocking on every run we have.

I think they tried a few different concepts in the 2nd half but agreed. I had no problem with it last year because, well, it worked and it offered so much flexibility to the offense.
They are going to have to stop thinking it's 2019. You can't run 11 personnel the entire time and call 3 plays a drive. I think they deviated well in the 2nd half, but that's gonna have to be something that gets better.
