It was a nice smooth ride.

They had a playful food fight in the kitchen.

They kept getting close to that first kiss but were continuously interrupted by sudden events.

They finally went on a date to his favorite French restaurant. While there, he noticed that food was slow to come out of the kitchen and patrons were becoming impatient. He went to make sure everything was alright and discovered the chef was shorthanded that night due to his sous and line chefs calling in sick.

He rolled up his sleeves and helped the chef cook all the meals. Then he suddenly remembered his date that he left at their table. He ran outside to check on her and there she was, helping out by waiting on tables! She understood and he appreciated her initiative to help. They shared a smile and really connected on a new level.

Back at the villa, they begin to finally have that first kiss when suddenly they are interrupted by her daughter, who was in tears. Apparently her friends were bullying her on social media. He offered helpful male advice, which endeared her more to him. Another new level of connection was established.

I’ll stop there. I don’t want to give away the ending.

Nice 1959 Mercedes Benz SL190 in the movie. Perfect car to cruise the French countryside.

The Bundy gif at the end really ties it all together. Nice.

Reminds me why, for all her flaws, my wife’s love of Abbot & Costello keeps our marriage on track.
