We knew this team lost alot of starters due to draft and opt outs. It was already a shite year to begin with but now O has a chance to do a total rebuild and get ready for 2021. Play the young guys and get them a year under their belt so we not rebuilding 2 years in a row. Max is a O recruit and has shown promise and received praise through his practices leading up to the season. Give him the ball and let him get the experience now rather than wait till the end of the year. Appreciate Myles sticking it through but he is a Les recruit and does not fit what we need now. Slow release, slow footed and cannot create on a broken play. It was painfully obvious yesterday.

So did Myles Brennan

Finley is a better athlete, why Johnson? Why is it always the back-up?

no, you don't want to put in a freshman that isn't ready and ruin him. let him progress to the point hes ready.

Miles Brennan wasn't great yesterday but he was still better than any Les Miles QB after 2007 sans Mett. We would have given our left nut for this kind of QB play 2 or 3 years ago.

This needs serious consideration. Maybe he would be even less decisive than Brennan.

You realize Finley is the #2 guy, right?

Agree 100%. If Linehan is the Guru he's made out to be, then it's time to get Johnson ready. It can't get any worse. We're heading back over that cliff of being an offensive laughing stock.

We gave Burrow a year to take the reins. Why not give Myles the same leeway? Especially in a rebuilding year.
He will be a SR next year, and he'll have all year this year to work out the kinks against an all SEC schedule.
