Stfu they probably saw in practice that Myles doesn’t have what it takes and got out of dodge I would’ve did the same
Yep it’s just like the old saying:
When the going gets tough, just quit.

Or maybe Chase saw at practice that playing would hurt his draft stock and decided it wasn’t worth it. I can’t blame him for that.

that's called being a quitter!

Chase made the right decision without question.

If that was the reason, I'm sure he would have seen that as far back as a year ago or even when covid hit or maybe even when the sec declared conference only schedule. Chase and others left for other reasons and that's their decision, but don't act like it had to do with money or football.

It's a character thing, quitting on team should be a red flag to GMs during 2021 draft.
Sure there's some that will disagree, but real deal gamers don't opt out.

I totally agree. Before you blow up at me, here is where I am coming from.
I don't begrudge these guys the chance to move to NFL and make millions. They worked hard and they earned it.
HOWEVER, they still owe somewhat of a responsibility to the team. If they had declared in the spring, before the deadline, and moved on, then fine. I woulnd't have liked it but thats the breaks.
These guys went through the summer, off season workouts, and pre season camp only to quit at the last minute.
The staff could have adjusted for it six months ago. WOrkouts and development could have been changed. The replacements could have gotten more time in practice.
They screwed their teammates. There was an ethical way for them to do what they wanted to do, but they didn't take that route. They took the route Ole Miss or Bama would have planned for us.
As Bear said, once a quitter, always a quitter. Fast forward 25 years and I will bet that they quit in other areas or life or are damaged by their self serving attitudes.

What they did was disappointing. I do not understand why LSU was affected disproportionately. It makes no sense.
I think Shelvin is a head case. Have no idea what Vincent, Charles and maybe others were thinking. I think they made mistakes. Maybe Chase did as well. We'll find out.

Some of ya'll are really stupid people.
Sure he did! He’s pissed that Chase and Shelvin left because it deprived him of the satisfaction he covets from LSU’s success. If not stated explicitly, it certainly is implied.
When calling others stupid, you should look in the mirror.

Saban lost to the two only quality teams on 2019 schedule bro. With a 1st round talent at QB.. why ? Bec he lost a ton to draft and injury. And he’s never lost 15 to the draft and 3 opt outs that were starters. Point is even Saban couldn’t overcome all the attrition and injuries w a cupcake schedule. Brady was an unknown is what I was saying. Point being O has done a solid job of roster management and finding the right coaches. Key for a HC. Put his record up against any Sec coach the last 3 years and what do the numbers tell u? This team will improve.. recruiting is looking very good so your agenda may hold water for this off covid year. But LSU snd O gonna win a ton more so get Over O being our coach. Oh and Gfy.. lol.

Agreed, stop calling them "opt-outs."

You should quit posting this BS.
