So I have seen a brief clip where Fauci thinks he embarrassed Rand, but what is really the deal here? I did not know what the supposed testimony was and it seemed Fauci was trying to discredit Rand for not being in lockstep with him.
Was it the herd immunity argument again that Fauci has been against this whole time?

Fauci was so far removed from a fact-based argument that I was embarrassed for him. He is an idiot and misinformed. He thinks Rand Paul is on his own by the 20% herd immunity threshold. Michael Levitt (Nobel Prize 2013) has been saying this for months that the t-cell immunity brings herd levels to around 20%. Rand Paul even states two real-world examples and Fauci had a little emotional tantrum instead of addressing Paul's statements.

Dem Fauci pontificates about this and that while flipping and flopping all over the place. He could have done one thing of use by telling his fellow Dem governors not to put coronavirus patients in nursing homes, but he didn't.
Anyone who was paying attention early on would have known that putting cv19 patients in among the highest risk populations was profoundly stupid, but where was Fauci on that catastrophic bit of dem negligence. Chattering like a blind magpie.
