This. Everyone knows Brees is declining, but that doesn't mean he's a shot fighter. We can still win with him - the narratives are spinning out of control right now.

He did get 5 games off for that injury

In 2014, Peyton Manning had a completion percentage of 66.2%, threw for 4,727 yards, 39 TDs vs 15 Ints yet there were signs late that season especially in their loss to the Colts, that Manning had lost some zip on his fastball.

Fast forward to 2015 & Peyton was done. 59.8% completion, 2,249 yards, 9 TDs vs 17 Ints.

When you are an aging QB in the NFL, life comes at you fast.
