I sincerely believe Romney is (foolishly) trying to set up a 2024 presidential run where he comes across as the moderate that can bring both parties together.

It’s why he’s always taking the high road on Trump and trying to show young liberals that he can be a leader for social justice issues while strong economically.

He’ll vote no and spout the talking points you see at the top of Reddit.

Mitt will get primaried if he votes no.

Mitt has 4 years until reelection, and would be around 80.

If the Republicans do not fill this seat, I will never cast a vote for a Republican again and I urge everyone to do the same.

Let me see if I can follow this logic. 48 Republicans will be fighting to confirm Trump’s next SCOTUS, but you’ll stop voting for them if Mitt and the other 4 RINOs join the Democrats?

And who are you going to vote for instead? The super useful Libertarians?

I’m surprised more haven’t realized this, but they want this as an election issue to get out the base and bring in moderates, independents, and the worthless “never Trumpers”.

They will not fill this seat. They will carry this issue through the election.

Republicans are their own worst enemy, Trump brought dignity back to the party they were slowly slipping to becoming the democrat party part 2. Most of them are pussies

Rhona or whatever her name is needs to call Collins and Murkowski personally and tell they they will back her Dem challenger if they don’t play ball

So you’ll vote for Biden? If you vote for a third party candidate that’s a vote for Biden.

I will abstain.

I’m done kicking the can down the road and pretending the GOP cares anything about liberty. I won’t set up my children for a collapse. I’d rather it happen now.

Better watch Senator Rob Portman (R-OH). He is leaning against pursuing a new Justice until after the election.

It is going to be a challenge to get 50 Republican Senators to do a complete u-turn from 2016. I think we may end up with as many as 6 Republicans voting with the Dems on this.

I have a feeling most will fall in line as they should. Once their offices have angry citizens calling them, they will fall in line. I think this is one where if they go the other way they can forget their careers ever taking off.

Yep.

This is one of the bright line moments that’s comes along every now and then. First was Kavanaugh. Second was Impeachment. It’s all or nothing for me. If Republicans can’t get it done, they are worthless to me.

I’ll wait until the Republican Party destructs and choose something that rises from the ashes of the failure.

It’s really just up to about 3-4 Republicans. The usual suspects.

"And if you see them, let them know they are not welcome!"

It's time for some public shaming of these RINOs.

Well that approach doesn’t surprise me. Libertarians have always been OK with having the Democrats in power, especially when it comes to open borders and job-killing trade deals.

I’ve been saying it from day 1 amidst a shower of downvotes.

I believe Republicans are cowards. They have given me ample evidence to believe it. I hope they prove me wrong but I won’t hold my breath.

Your shtick is so fricking tiring. The most libertarian member of the Senate is a certified yes vote on the nominee.

Calm down. Turtle wouldn't have come out so strong so fast and Trump wouldn't be aggressively pushing if they didn't know they have it in the bag. They do. It'll get done.

Some people always say how whore kunt Pelosi is so brilliant and knows what it is doing in the lower house (I know, nothing to do with a SC nomination), but Cocaine Turtle Mitch is equally adept at knowing how the wind blows and wouldn't be doing this if he couldn't pull it off......

I would pull all support and funding of any Republican that doesn’t vote to fill this seat and expel them from the party.

You talking about the one that’s a member of the Republican Party? The same Republican Party that’s the only party kicking the Democrats asses? Unlike that do nothing Libertarian Party and their clown leadership.
