which is why I said:

I'm sure they've updated, but I ran down the Bengals reddit rabbit hole and those people think he hasn't invested enough at all to keep them competitive.

Before this year, LSU fans wouldn’t have given two shits thoughts to this “concern”. If this were Tua instead of Burrow, y’all would be laughing.
Wait
You're saying LSU fans only care because it's an LSU player and they wouldn't care about an Alabama player?
Wow man, you're really onto something here.

I'm not actually worried about his health as much as his health as it pertains to having a long football career with the success we want him to see.
There's a difference. I just want him to do well.

Carson Palmer talent wasted?
The NFL is a business. Palmer had the 11th highest NFL earnings in the history of the league.
Quit pissing on JB's parade. He'll spend 4 to 6 years at Cincy in compliance with the business contract he gladly signed.
The Bengals will either build a solid team around him, or he'll move on at the end of his contract. Joe will be just fine. He knows what he is doing.

LSU fans really showing their lack of NFL knowledge the past 12 hours.
Or just lack of knowledge in general.

Great 5 year sample there. Unfortunately it is an anomalous short period when look at their franchise history.
In the last 4 years prior to drafting Burrow they were 21-42 with no playoff appearances and the 20 years prior to that 5 year sample you gave they were 115-204 with 2 playoff appearances.
The ownership is terrible.
The OP should just stop. He's embarrassing himself and LSU fans.
The Bengals have Burrow because they were the worst team in the NFL last season. Did you actually think they were going to COMPLETELY turn everything around in the span of TWO games?
It's not easy being a rookie starter on a BAD team. But that doesn't mean you "burn it all down" after two fricking games. In Peyton Manning's first season he led the league in INT's. They lost 7 of their first 8 games en route to a 3-13 record. The Colts franchise had been mostly mediocre to bad up to the 1998 season. In fact, they had only been to the playoffs THREE times in the entire time they had been in Indianapolis (since 1984). They were not a good franchise...at all...when Manning was drafted.
This may come as a bit of a shock, but Manning didn't just say "frick this" after TWO games.
Then something remarkable happened. The Colts went 13-3 in Manning's second year. That was the most wins they'd ever had in Indy...by FIVE games! They went to the playoffs, and then proceeded to make the playoffs 10 of the 11 years after that. That included two super bowl appearances and a title.
Once you find your QB, it's MUCH easier to put the pieces around him. But it doesn't happen overnight when the team was literally the worst team in football the year before.
If the Bengals losing and Burrow taking a pounding is going to upset you every week then you might want to stop watching now. It could be a rough ride for him the season.

I'd give it more than a couple of games before you act like they're killing your son out there. I'm sure you're a big Burrow fan, just as I'm sure he will excel with the team. They kept Lewis as coach a few years longer than they should have, doesn't mean new blood can't put together a decent team. If you expected instant success with a rookie QB and a team that drafted #1, you shouldn't be surprised by what's happened so far.

Now tell us about the remarkable happening when #1 draft pick and Heisman winning QB Carlson Palmer took the Bengals to greatness

He has too much talent to waste it being another David Carr that gets sacked 10 times a game. He has every right to demand a trade

He doesn't have any right to demand a trade and furthermore, his balls are too big to pull such a pussy move.
Again, if this were year 3 and this team was still this bad, we could entertain the idea. It's game 2 and the only real glaring issue on offense is the O Line which can be realistically be fixed or at the very least improved in one off-season. Hell, it might even be improved by the end of the year as they play more games together. Remember, the start of this season is very much like preseason especially for rookies and guys who haven't played together.

They will focus on both lines in the draft along with some other defensive guys and greatly improve over the next 2-3 years.
LSU fans are overreacting like crazy. They should look at what the saints did between 2015 and 2017 and see how quickly a team with an elite QB can make the jump to being an elite team all around. Saints focused on the O Line and defense in the draft and became a top 1-2 team in the league in only a couple of years.

the level of stupidity attainable by LSU fans is astounding

Yeah right. Just like they did when Palmer and Dalton were Pro Bowl QBs

After Burrow and Higgins, the rest of their 2020 draft was defense and one OT. They have solid skill position players so I would bet they go OLine in the first round in 2021 and get a stud LT like Sewell.

The Bengals are winning 6-7 games this year. They almost won the first two. They will keep getting better. So they aren't going to be drafting in the top 10. They spent over 100M in FA this past offseason and will have even more to spend next. Burrow shouldn't be throwing 60+ times a game for long..
