Last week when the Phase 3 guidelines came out and said 10 pm, a restaurant owner told "who cares...our dining rooms haven't had people in them after 10 pm since March."

I know of one bar and one restaurant in Metairie where the owner told me last week that they weren't stopping with alcohol at 10:00. They were willing to just take their chances since it seemed that the enforcement of any of the Covid stuff had been very relaxed for a while now.

There is a big disconnect between parishes where the sheriff runs the show (and knows better than cut off the hand that feeds you with tax revenue*) and New Orleans. Still a lot of hesitation to push the boundaries and incur the wrath.

This is all so stupid.

*Would love to see some sort of post-COVID tax revenue study and see the correlation between tax receipts, lockdowns, etc...

ATC shut down a Monroe bar & grill this week

The way I read it is that he was planning on reopening & the ATC caught wind & pulled his liquor license first

I know of about 30 including my own. We have gone from unconstitutional, to tyrannical, to criminal, to flat out insanity. To actually think Coronavirus if it is still actively spreading at a pandemic level in the NO Metro area (which it hasn't been since May) spreads faster and harder at 11:01 than 10:59 is to believe Coronavirus is an intelligent Alien lifeform that is making intelligent and calculated decisions and even better can tell time. If this is in fact true we have much bigger fish to fry than whether or not 5 neighborhood regulars want to have another shot of Jamo at 11:15 on a Friday night.
