Two income households and both work full time but the man comes home and expects dinner

What do y’all think about situations like this, I think we’ve all come across it. Both parties work full time jobs but when the guy comes home he expects the wife to make dinner, do the dishes and laundry, help with the kids homework and putting them to bed, etc. All while he kicks back and drinks a beer while watching TV. And likely the only reason the wife truly does need to work full time is so he can drive an expensive truck, go hunting, have a boat, etc.
I’d imagine those relationships lead to divorce more often than not. The guy sounds selfish to say the least. But why would the wife put up with it? Probably a myriad of reasons, I’ve heard religion used as a justification and that the Bible says it’s the wife’s duty to take care of the husband etc (although I doubt it says anything about her working 40 hours or taking that into consideration). And I’d imagine fear plays a role in many instances and the wife is too afraid to speak up, either due to fear the husband would lash out at her verbally or physically or fear that he would leave her.
And do any of you think that a situation like this is ok or not have any issues with it?

Dear Abby,
I met this gnome. He’s really not man enough for me. What should I do?

What have you done with Oweo and why you take his thread?

My wife (No pics) and I both work, I’m doing my best to get her to tell me I can retire (I’m 32). With COVID I’ve been able to work from home as much as possible, so I cook and clean and get the kids on and off the bus. shite like that, doing my best. But to each their own.

My wife and I both work. I cook more than her but she still cooks a couple nights a week. She does dishes clothes. I cut the yard take out garbage etc. we all have our roles, but if I did as you explained in your OP I would be divorced with the quickness. Now, if she didn’t work, that’s a different story.

I think you should make your husbands dinner.

Lol. My wife can’t cook for shite and she’ll be the first to admit it. Spaghetti, tacos or Brinner otherwise it’s me cooking if we’re ordering out.

We both work although my job is more demanding and I work more hours.
My wife probably does 65% of the cooking/housework. I do maybe 30% and most of the yardwork. I'm giving the 13 year old 5% because I'm feeling generous.

This is what happened to my sister (no pics) and her ex-husband. She worked full time and was working on her degree and doing all the child and home duties. He got off work and hit the recliner until bedtime. She got tired of that routine and filed within 2 years. I don’t blame her.
I think it should be a balance of home duties. The spouse working less should be carrying more weight. It’s a teamwork thing.

My wife and I both work full-time. I do the cooking and cleaning of the kitchen. I do it because I like to cook, but mostly because I’m the better cook. Trade-off is I don’t do laundry.

Wife is Big 4 and works her arse off and is a star in her group.
My job allows me a lot of latitude.
I do it all. Happily.
I am a fricking Domestic Tyrannosaurus.

You expect me to do shite when I just got up at 3AM for my 7th straight day at the plant making double time so she can afford her $900 note on her new Tahoe with the 30a sticker on it? You out your damn mind baw.
ETA: I’m also outside drinking beer and she is cooking dinner. She worked today and I was off. Plant Baw.
