good stuff especially with one of their shakes. Don't expect 'gourmet'...they are greasy...but good....a lot better than riverside patty.

It used to be great. Have been back since they returned to the old school stuff and enjoyed it.

What a great place.

I'm with you Martini, tell mattie hi.

I heard a lot of hype about it and it didn't live up to what I expected, but was still good.

I used to work there (in the pharmacy) back when it was still owned by Mr. & Mrs. Dearman. Definitely ask for Mattie or Pauline. Love the burgers. They're greasy but good. Are they still serving breakfast? If so try a breakfast sandwich one morning with fries.

the burgers are nothing special - not bad, but not anything to rave about. and the fries are HORRIBLE.

Good OLD FASHIONED burger place...Fifties theme decor...hand made burgers...overall quite good. Menu is limited...you go there for a burger or something VERY similar. The palce is clean and you usually get your food quickly. Overall it's a GO FOR Dearman's.

The current establishment is MUCH BETTER than that. Give it another try.

The wife and I just got back from there. It was good as usual but we were one of 3 couples there in a Friday night. Got a milkshake for the road though....

Not as good as Judice Inn in Lafayette, but the next best thing. Don't forget to order the grilled cheese as an appetizer...

I grew up with an account there. The Dearman's lived one street over from me.

I remember a friend of mine asking for cheeseburger, no tomato's.

We heard "Fernando. Ooodonwannomatasondacheeseburger?"

Also, another great exchange. "Fish do too be poutry. Poke be poke and fish be poutry."

I loved growing up at that counter.

Parents had an "account" there and I would during summers I'd ride my bike there and get a burger and a coke.
