IF ONLY THERE WAS A POLITICS BOARD WHERE THE LEFTWINGNUTS AND RIGHTWINGNUTS COULD GO AND DUKE IT OUT!!!
Oh, wait, you're telling me there IS such a place? Damn, I would have thought this was the "Left vs. Right Celebrity Death Match" forum, based on the posts.
PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS LSU, TAKE YOUR POLITICS TO THE POLITICS BOARD!
- If you HATE the NFL and their libtard overlord's marketing tripe, that's the place to make your case.
- If you HATE the right-wing knuckledraggers that can't comprehend that black lives matter, THATS the place to make your case.
- If you think kneeling during the anthem is a toxic statement of disrespect of our flag, or if you think it's a valid form of civil protest, TAKE IT TO THE RIGHT PLACE AND FIGHT IT OUT THERE!

Somebody watches too much Fox News. The NFL isn’t supporting the organization of “BLM” they’re supporting American people who are black. Just because they have pigment In their skin doesn’t mean they’re any less American or care about this country any less than you do. They just want our country to be what it is for everyone else for them too. That’s all this is about.
Exactly! However when a person has an agenda against equality for African Americans and for maintaining white supremacy, they will find any excuse to justify their position. Disrespect for the flag or anthem becomes that reason for many. Kneeling with heads down becomes a sign of disrespect for the flag, the anthem. the military and the police, if the reason is equality for African Americans. Whereas kneeling with head down has historically always been a sign of respect. What type persons become angered by that? I think we all know. Its not the act that angers them, it is the reason. If they truly believed in equality for African Americans, silently kneeling in protest would not offend them in the slightest.
What does the flag stand for to those who become angered that people seek to hold America to those standards the flag represents? What type person becomes offended and angered that a people who have suffered from horrific and barbaric racism and unequal treatment for centuries asks America on bended knee to truly live up to its creed that all men are created equal and equal justice for all? How does that anger or offend anyone? Or stating that black lives matter too? That angers you? Challenging and fighting against racism is unpatriotic? This response to African Americans fight for true equality in America is nothing new. History is littered with lynchings, mutilations, terrorization and brutalization of African Americans who had the audacity to think they were full citizens of this country and deserving of all that means. There have always been those who opposed that notion. And there are news reports and pictures to document it.

BLM was founded by 3 avowed Marxist.
It’s in their charter. Look it up.
If the NFL allows BLM to be shown on their fields or on their games in any way they are providing support to a Marxist organization; whether that is their intension or not. The BLM organization highjacked the black cause and is riding the coat tails of the black movement. I am 100% for supporting the cause of all black people in America. However, I will not support BLM in any way or tolerate any disrespect of the American flag.
So you support athletes kneeling right? They are not part of the organization BLM.

Just curious? Do you believe there are no racists who are against equality for African Americans and are for maintaining white supremacy? Do you believe they never existed or just do not exist today? They existed for centuries, so where did they go? Did they just give up and magically disappear? What do you think their thoughts would be about the kneeling in protest against racism?

Sorry I guess I assumed that you've ever had to write a research paper in your life and that you knew what citations were. I'm sorry I gave you too much credit.
If you scroll to the bottom of those articles at the very end you can see the sources where the information came from. Sometimes those sources are from other news articles and then you can go to that article and look for its citations. All of those numbers come from government agencies. You're going to have to do a little better if you're going to dismiss all of that information

From what I've seen, these injustices happen in cities that are controlled by Democrats, some like Baltimore and Chicago have had minority leadership for years. If minorities in power won't stop racial injustice, who is supposed to?
That is an incredibly myopic View of the situation. Larger cities tend to lean more liberal and African American communities tend to live in cities. Those cities are located within States. Many of those states are run by Republicans who makes the laws for that state. Either way it's a problem that is pervasive no matter where you are and trying to say that it's because of Democrats is not only an over-simplification but it's disingenuous at best

Justice was served, that's what happened. Your explanation for the Stanford swimmer? Because the judge seen a white student at Stanford, he was leanient. In what world is that right, rape is rape
One, was gang rape of an unconcious woman hauled to a location where she was raped repeatedly, the rape was filmed and the offenders showed pre planning and was violent.
The Stanford case was none of those things. He was raping her, but I dont know that he even penetrated her, much less passed her around among his friends and laughed and taped it, he deserved a more severe sentence...sure, possibly, but dont even think the two events were comparable.
Also, we are talking two different states and two different judges. Do you know the history of each judge? I dont.
I also know that in the Tennessee case the white guy had private, well thought of attorneys and he got 2 more years than the black guy. So please stick to the argument. In the EXACT case the white guy with the great lawyers was given harsher sentences.....please tell me how it is all the poor public defenders fault.

There is no sysyematic racism. You would have an argument for it 70 years ago.
The term is currently used to stifle speech, and nothing more.
90 % of the population has no issue with decent people of any race.

Black people using white supremacy as an excuse is their way of being racist. You can flip that too, idk where all these so called white supremacist are im sure if they were running rampant all over the U.S. we woulda seen at least one white hoodie on the tube.

You know what’s funny? I’m not even a left wing person I just know bias when I see it. Bias is when someone can have a bunch of facts in front of them and still not see things for what it is. The fact that people have gone on TV and said “it’s not the flag” yet people still think it is shows they’ve bought into the narrative portrayed on a news station. Sorry to call bs for what it is but that’s BS

Amen. All the political bickering has totally hijacked and detailed this thread. Take that debate to the Poli board.

It appears that people are tired of police brutality, racial inequality in the justice system, General systemic racism, black community being marginalized and disenfranchised. You know, things that impact people's daily lives but no biggie
If this were even close to being reality, then why was everyone okay with it a few years ago?

Why are you always so wrong and so disingenuous? What you are saying is patently false and a simple Google search for you about an unfair justice system would lead you in all kinds of directions that would all eventually link back to statistics provided by our government. Or I guess we can just take your word for it LOL
