Even if the required signautes are obtained, by the time all paperwork and administrative work is finished, his term will be over. It's a stupid waste of time and money.

You say this in jest, but tons of media personalities aren't allowed to make a living anymore because someone put a number sign in front of something and enough people pretended to agree but never actually do anything about it so the companies just fired those people for no fricking real reason anyway.
