Mathieu was/is what, 5’8”? HB7 was so special not just because of his athleticism, but because he just wanted it more than everyone else on the field. Joey is the best player we’ve ever fielded and Clyde is my personal favorite, but Tyrann Mathieu is easily the most electric.

Arik’s measurables put him well into “freak of nature” territory. So it won’t be a shock when he blows up a linebacker or outruns a corner. Even setting that aside, he’ll have to show a hell of a lot of hustle to justify the “Mathieu on offense” moniker.

Regardless, I’m fricking psyched to see him go to work.

My goodness some of y’all are insufferable lol. That poster clearly was referring to their versatility not impact or measurables when making the Mathieu and Gilbert comparison.
