Has it been hinted that Homelqnder has any weaknesses? Is there anyone in this world who might be able to defeat him? The actor that plays home lander is good at the role, it he bothers me. He looks like he has cotton balls in his cheeks almost like he’s mocking the godfather. I wonder where they are going with the deep character. Will he redeem himself by some self sacrifice later on? I also like that the ginger is walking on eggshells around Homelander (she deserves it).

They went so far off the rails at the end of season 1 from what the comic books are that I have no idea where they’re headed.
Not in a bad way AT ALL, I enjoyed it a ton, but Billy’s wife being alive is just a complete deviation.

I thought it was a different actor at first

I think the Deep character will end up turning on the rest of the "supes". Not sure what he will be able to accomplish as he's kind of a bitccch

Will he redeem himself
I wonder if he will have a hand in stopping the illegal smuggling at the dock after they found out that they were smuggling illegal aliens and in particular a "super terrorist"

I watched the first 3 episodes last night, and I'm pumped up about this.
Regarding spoilers from the books- I didn't read the comics, but not sure we can count on those being too accurate. My understanding is that they're veering away from the books some. I think Stormfront was a guy, for example; so the whole arc will be different.
Starlight is smokin' hot this season
The Deep is just a tragic dumbass, I get the feeling we're going to see a final redemption scene ala Theon Greyjoy.
Kinda see that coming with A-Train, too.
Black Noir is going to be interesting, watching him weep after hearing the news was probably foreboding something down the line. Just like The Deep saying "I could have been normal", I think he's coming to grips that he's been MADE into what he is; which seems to be an unstoppable killing machine.
Given Stormfront's powers, I see a showdown between her and Starlight coming.
Not sure what the dynamic is between Homelander and Stormfront; is she messing up his plans, or just stealing his thunder?
The kid was a big reveal. I sorta expected he would get killed as a normal, the way it was playing out. I know we 'expected' him to have powers, but when he faceplanted off the roof, I legit thought "ok, Homelander just killed that boy".

It’s great overall. But I sincerely hope they depart from the brutal sacrilegious stuff. I’m not a shrieking violet but those segments were like someone writing with the mindset of making belief in God the most horrible thing imaginable. I get how it fit into the overall picture being portrayed but still, way overboard.

I didn’t really take away from the show what you’re describing

quote:The only stuff I can imagine with that is the Ezekial storyline, and that's not really sacrilegious, it's a reflection on other religious scams.

Homelander calls himself a god, and Starlight says there's no God above watching over us.
The show touches more on mankind's failings, than on any actual religious message. Hell, now that the secret's out, that's even more prevalent- look at The Deep. He was despairing that God had made him this way, now he's bitter that Man had done it to him.

I'm curious who was behind the CIA deputy director... if the books say, don't tell me!

I smooth laughed and thought he killed that kid
. The whale was funny and the director’s head

The whale had me rolling. I watched that scene 3x

Yeah that was funny as hell, as soon as the whale appeared on screen I knew it wasn’t long for that world.
