All I can think now is that this will probably be Derek Stingley Jr’s last year. This will open up a can of worms in college football. This opting out crap needs to be stopped. If covid isn’t the reason these kids are opting out then why shouldn’t I assume that this will happen every year now. I think it’s time to pay the players. I’m not a fan of paying but I feel like if we don’t come to this then college football will be ruined.

This sucks, prefer to cancel season than to see us lose 3-4 games (affects recruiting)...

Get used to it. The players have finally figured out they don't need to abuse their bodies to the fullest extent just to get to the NFL. College football might become more like college basketball.

This stuff is cyclical. Remember under Les when we couldn’t keep a senior to save our life. Like projected 6th rounders we’re leaving. Then it just kind of stopped. They see their friends doing it so they do it.

Why are you against paying the players? So fricking stupid. Enjoy opt outs as long as you want people to generate millions and receive none of it.

If this is the trend in college football, why isn’t it happening at other schools to the extent it’s happening here?

With that 40 time logged who can blame him?

Stingley Jr should sit out. Bidness decision.

He’d be a 1st round pick. That’s the logic right?

Because other schools didn't have a perfect 15-0 season with the best team of all time. It probably seems like like the risk-to-reward ratio isn't very good to some of these guys to play a short, messed up season in empty stadiums when they had the ultimate season last year and this year won't compare to that.

NFL minor league like baseball fixes majority of this. Kids drafted can choose to get paid or go to college for 3 years. Right now NFL uses CFB as a free of charge minor league. Quality will drop. A few late bloomers will have same issue but players in CFB will be there because they want to be not because that was only option.

bullshite.

Explain those entering the transfer portal. The pressure of talented freshman who haven’t played a down? Get real.

so two projected first rounders don't want to play in a season filled of uncertainty that may or may not crown a real champion? Think that has something do with it? A normal season on the horizon and none of this is happening.

so many overreactions from so many grown crybabies ... STFU already.

I almost wonder if 2 years is going to be the new norm for any decent players?

Honestly Chase I get

But Shelvin idk. I mean. Is he that much of a slam dunk DT? Is the position just not deep where no one is goin a outshine him this season?

Are you referring to Shelvin as a projected first rounder?

If so, why hasn’t any of Bama’s 2021 projected 1st round players have opted out? Why is it only LSU losing players?
